Employee Communication Specialist - Bobbie
Jessica Palazzo, President and Founder

Jessica has more than 20 years of experience in the employee communications industry, and has developed and managed complex communication projects from conception to completion.

Her most notable attribute is her ability to transform large-scale ideas into streamlined, executable campaigns. She often does so within very tight timelines. She touches every project that comes through the door – to ensure that Spitfire’s quality standards are constantly met and that the client’s expectations are consistently exceeded.

As a no-fluff, straight-shooter who always keeps the end user in mind, Jessica has earned the confidence of a growing list of satisfied clients. She has also developed exceptional relationships with a broad network of specialists – our printing, production and specialty projects partners. Jessica is constantly pursuing innovative ways of communicating to provide her clients with the results that have become the trademark of Spitfire.

Since its inception in 2008, Spitfire has prospered under her guidance. Jessica is proud of the team that she has built, but is even more pleased with the accomplishments made on a daily basis for Spitfire’s clients.

Jessica is a graduate of the University of Hartford with a B.S. in Business Management, sociology minor.

Nancy Haase, Account Executive

Nancy’s 28 years of combined experience in employee communications, sales, marketing and project management has made her a natural fit for the role she plays at Spitfire.

Nancy employs a consultative approach to developing communication objectives, maintaining a keen sense of her clients’ current goals while never losing sight of what might enhance their “big picture”. Dedicated to providing 100% client satisfaction, Nancy effectively assesses her client’s needs, develops strategic communication plans and oversees projects through completion, ensuring successful outcomes for her happy clients.

What she enjoys most is helping clients to think like marketers – to build their internal brand. Working with them to communicate to their “customers” the value of their benefits, compensation, and more – everything that makes their company a great place to work.

Nancy is a graduate of Merrimack College with a B.S. in Business Marketing Administration.

Karen L. Scattergood, Account Executive

Karen is not just a highly skilled Account Executive – she is a go-getter, a master communicator and has a wealth of benefit communications knowledge.

Karen is a dynamo when it comes to details of all kinds. She exudes confidence in a charming and engaging way that lets
her clients know that their job is in the right hands. She is always a step ahead in anticipating her clients’ needs and when
it comes to making them happy, no request goes unmet. Her flexibility, accountability and pleasant demeanor have
often been noted in clients’ feedback. Karen has a long and growing list of happy clients and manages some of our
largest accounts with finesse and ease.

She also plays an essential role in Spitfire’s ability to design and produce personalized Total Compensation Statements. Spitfire is pleased to have Karen’s expertise supporting our ability to offer such a key communication tool for any client who seeks them.

Karen is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst; B.A. English.

Sheila Eckhardt, Senior Account Manager 

Sheila brings over 15 years of experience working in the Life and Health Insurance industry. While at Spitfire, Sheila has managed the development and delivery of a growing list of industry-leading multimedia and print materials for many companies, including several Fortune 500 companies.

If you have the pleasure of working with Sheila, you will undoubtedly pick up on her cheerful personality and steadfast energy – just a simple phone call will expose you to her innate vigor and positivity. Sheila’s energy is reflected in every project that she takes on.

Sheila is committed to top-notch client service and problem solving. Her client-driven attitude combined with her coveted organizational skills result in successful and satisfied client relationships. From start to finish, a client can always expect nothing but the best from Sheila.

Sheila is a graduate of Champlain College; Associates Degree in Business.

Employee Communications Specialist - Kim
Kim Conforti, Account Manager

Kim has over 16 years of employee communications experience. She has spent time as both an insurance broker and Account Manager, giving her a unique perspective on the holistic approach to benefits and their marketing.

In her most recent role as a manager in the Employee Benefits division of a local insurance agency, Kim assisted clients in servicing their benefit administration, communication and renewal needs. While specializing in meeting the needs of individuals and business owners, she was also the firm’s compliance expert on health care reform and new benefits requirements. Her skill-set ranges from small companies to Fortune 500 companies, making her a great fit for all of Spitfire’s clients.

With her wide spectrum of knowledge, she knows how to take content from complex to simple, making her an invaluable resource of the Spitfire team. She is a problem-solver who is always willing to go the extra mile and jump in to help out the team. Her focus and attention to detail is consistently applauded by clients.

Kim is a graduate of the University of Hartford with a B.S. in Business Management with an emphasis in marketing and minor in advertising.

Employee Communications Specialist - Richelle
Richelle Waron, Account Manager

Richelle is an Account Manager with over 10 years of experience with account/workflow management in the broadcast communications industry. She got her start at Ascent Media, coordinating content duplication and international distribution for Disney-ABC TV. More recently Richelle was a Senior Account Manager at ESPN where she was one of the first in the industry to manage the entire post sale stewardship for major national advertisers. Richelle’s focus is always on meeting her client’s expectations. It’s her customer focus and moxie spirit that makes Richelle a valuable addition to the Spitfire Team.

Richelle has a B.A. in Theatre with a concentration in Stage Management from the University of Southern Maine.

Employee Communications Specialist - Diana
Diana Stutz, Web Designer / Developer

Diana brings her passion and talent for design to the Spitfire team. After a career at ESPN, Diana began teaching design courses at Central Connecticut State University. In addition to teaching, she also started working in the Internet Marketing department at Mohegan Sun. Diana’s many years of experience coupled with her desire to learn and grow further makes her an all-star here at Spitfire.

When she is not designing graphics she can be found hiking, doing yoga or kayaking with her dog, Nova.

Diana is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University with a B.A. in Graphic/Information Design.

Employee Communications Specialist - Jocelyn
Jocelyn Herrick, Senior Graphic Designer

Jocelyn is a highly creative graphic designer with more than a dozen years of experience in magazine and print design as well as print production. Prior to joining Spitfire, Jocelyn served as production manager and designer for ESPN’s high school division (ESPNHS).

Jocelyn thrives on managing multiple projects and job roles, while meeting the demands of Spitfire’s fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. She is committed to expanding product brands by balancing a sound design aesthetic with a pre-press mind-set that drives high-end results for every client. Her easy-going demeanor and her “grace under pressure” skills – no matter the demands or deadlines and her professionalism and sense of humor help her deliver the goods every time without skipping a beat. Jocelyn also takes the lead on programming our personalized, variable print projects like Total Compensation Statements.

Jocelyn is a graduate of Suffolk University; B.A. Fine Arts.

Employee Communications Specialist - Laura
Laura Dechaine, Senior Graphic / Web Designer

Laura joined the Spitfire team over 3 years ago after 22 years of loyal service with another local and well-respected design firm. In that role, Laura served as Senior Designer and was the creative lead on brand identity programs, print collateral, e-marketing, environmental graphics and packaging for both corporate and non-profit organizations. Her experience includes a broad gamut of industries and companies including state agencies, utilities, financial institutions and retail food marketing.

Laura finds creativity in everything and her signature style is a sophisticated, clean design. She strives to be a part of the creative process from beginning to end – often stepping away from her keyboard for brainstorming sessions and conceptual development to providing technical advice for print and web. Laura’s “whatever it takes” attitude has ensured the best possible results from a design and cost perspective for our clients.

Laura is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a B.A. in Fine Arts.

Employee Communications Specialist - Erica
Erica Trenholm, Graphic Designer

Erica is a versatile designer with a background in agency, non-profit, and freelance design work. Her range of experience has led to her proficiency in designing for both print and digital platforms. Erica is a fervent believer in the importance of cohesion and consistency to build a solid brand.

Described by many as a perfectionist, Erica has an eye for detail and a structural design aesthetic. She is passionate about producing clean typography and reader-friendly layouts, taking particular care in arranging text until it is eye-catching, engaging, and effectively portrays its message. She carries her conscientious nature with her in all facets of her life, perpetually driven to give 110% to any task or project.

Erica is a graduate of Roger Williams University with a B.A. in Graphic Design Communications and Music, and a minor in Marketing.

Lyn Jones
Lyn Jones, Financial Manager

Lyn has more than 20 years of experience in the fields of accounting, budgeting and forecasting and is a critical player for the Spitfire team.

She’s a wizard of accuracy and integrity when it comes to planning, managing and controlling all financial activities for clients and Spitfire, as a whole, including accounting, finance, forecasting and job costing. Lyn ensures that our clients are billed accurately and timely.

You can say that Lyn and Excel are attached at the hip – anything anyone needs from her will be delivered with a smile but expect it in an Excel spreadsheet, neatly and precisely – of course!

Lyn’s steadfast and sound guidance – not to mention calm, caring demeanor – is a valued asset here at Spitfire and an essential component to Spitfire’s continued success.

Lyn is a graduate of the University of Connecticut; B.S. Psychology

Jessie Lubka, Marketing Coordinator

Jessie is a recent college graduate looking to show-off her creativity, whimsical writing style and zesty personality.

This is Jessie’s first full-time job since graduating from college in 2017. She is eager to take what she has learned in the classroom and apply it to her work at Spitfire. As a team player, Jessie is looking forward to working closely with each member of the Spitfire team.

Jessie is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a B.A. in Communications and a minor in Women, Gender and Sexuality studies.
